Date of beginning of new academic year announced

The Education Ministry clarified the date of beginning of new academic year in educational institutions in Azerbaijan.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Education Bayram Huseynzadeh said that the ministry was frequently asked about the beginning of the new academic year, as September 15 – The Day of Knowledge falls on Saturday this year: “Ministry of Education officially declares September 15 as the Day of Knowledge in Azerbaijan. All Azerbaijani schools will organize holiday ceremonies on this date. September 15 will be an academic day for schools with 6-day education schedule. All teachers and pupils have to participate in Knowledge Day ceremonies to be held in the schools with 5-day teaching schedule.
