Azerbaijani students getting education abroad actively support the formation of our diaspora network in other countries.

Speaking about the number of Azerbaijani students getting education abroad, deputy minister said that their distinct statistics was identified on the base of scholarship: “Despite of students who receive scholarship for their education, there are also students who are getting education at their own expenses. According to the conducted calculations, the number of students getting education abroad is more than 10000. 1500 students from the above mentioned figure get education within scholarship program of Ministry of Education, state program and on the base of conditions of signed bilateral contracts in educational sphere of foreign states. Besides it, there are students who are getting education in Russia and Turkey at their own expenses”.

Deputy Minister responded on the question dealing with advertising campaigns held in Azerbaijan by the number of foreign universities in order to draw attention of Azerbaijani students to the education abroad: “There is a serious competition between the countries in order to attract the attention of foreign students to education there. Even countries influential in educational sphere take part in this competition. But the serious requirements must be put in front of students who want to get education abroad. They must be very careful to the educational program of foreign country where they want to get education. In other words, they must get education in high qualitative educational establishments. Anyway, it’s not anyone’s wish to get education in educational establishment with poor basis, that doesn’t coincide with any criterion, where the admission process held without observance of international educational standards”.
