Azerbaijan, Belarus boost scientific-technological coop

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) have signed another agreement on development of the scientific-technological cooperation.

The agreement envisages the implementation of the joint strategic projects in innovation technologies, energy, medical physiology, aerospace and other fundamental scientific spheres.
Chairman of the NASB Anatoli Rusetski at the meeting with President of ANAS Mahmud Karimov said that Minsk attached great importance to the cooperation in various, especially scientific-technological spheres with Azerbaijan.

Mr. Karimov noted that after reciprocal visits of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev and Belarus`s President Alexander Lukashenko, relations between the two countries entered the new development stage.

A working group`s meeting has been held.

Chairman of Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy Ziyad Samadzade highlighted the dynamic development of the politic-economical relations between the two countries during the past years.

The sides also signed memorandum on scientific-technological cooperation. The memorandum included exchange of the experience in fundamental scientific research sphere, as well as holding of the joint science-practical conferences.

The Azerbaijani delegation also became familiar the Museum of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

They also discussed prospects of the joint cooperation for the future.
