National Council for Television and Radio offers to regulate Internet TV

The Azerbaijani National Council for Television and Radio (NCTR) considers it necessary to regulate Internet TV, NTRC Chairman Nushiravan Maharramli said in an interview with website of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

He said regulation of Internet TV activity is one of the most discussed issues in the world.

"This issue has been discussed for a long time also in European countries. But, unfortunately, there is no specific mechanisms," he said.

In recent years Azerbaijan has significantly increased the number of internet TV channels.

The number of radio and TV channels on Internet almost reaches 30.
