
The Azeryolservis OJSC of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry will complete the expansion of the Hajigabul-Kurdamir road section in 2013 as a part of the construction of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh- border with Georgia highway, Company spokesman Punhan Mursaliyev told Trend.
The road expansion work was started in summer of 2011.
"Following the expansion, the road will be four-lane one. The Hajigabul-Kurdamir road section with length of 80 kilometers covers the section from 120 km to 200 km of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh- border with Georgia highway,” Mursaliyev said.
The expansion work also stipulates construction of five road junctions and a four-lane bridge river with the length of 72 meters across the Girdiman, as well as repair of the local roads. The project has been completed at 80 percent.
Moreover, the roads Hajigabul-Yevlakh and Ganja-Georgian border will also be expaned as part of the construction of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh- border with Georgia highway.
