
International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA), founded in July 2011 on the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, announces an international photo contest dedicated to June 1 - International Children's Day, and June 5 - World Environment Day, IDEA told Trend on Friday.
International photo contest and festival, which is scheduled at the end of the contest, are aimed at drawing attention to environmental issues, demonstrating the need to protect the environment by representatives of all generations.
'Earth through the eyes of children' international photo contest is held on the initiative of IDEA in close cooperation with world-renowned photographer Reza Deghati and support of the World Photography Organisation and National Geographic Kids (UK).
Children and adolescents under the age of 17 years, who submitted no later than September 5, 2012 photographs on the theme "I love nature and am afraid of its contamination", can take part in the contest.
Photos submitted for the contest will be assessed by an international jury and the advisory board. Winners will be awarded prizes and the right to participate in the festival and exhibition, which will take place in Baku in October 2012.
