Azerbaijani Education Ministry prepares for exams

Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov has ordered on the opening of hotlines at all schools and universities of the country.

Under the order, the information coming to hotlines of schools and universities, as well as the exam offices must be resent promptly to the Ministry’s hotline.

Educational institutions should also ensure transparency and public control over exams and taking of measures against culprits of negative cases in the organization and holding of exams.

Heads of educational institutions are responsible for every possible negative fact, and within 15 days from the date of exam session completion should submit to the Ministry of Education the final report on organization, holding and results of exams.

Education Ministry’s chief of staff I. Pirmamedov and Higher & Secondary Special Education Dept head I. Mustafayev were instructed to ensure anti-corruption monitoring of examination session with involvement of representatives of public and NGOs, which are members of the anti-corruption workgroup, and identify cases of corruption - conduct a poll among students.

On the basis of information on revealed adverse facts it is prescribed to find the culprits of their origin and make proposals for measures against these individuals. The minister undertook control over the execution of this order.
