Eurovision.de web-site has posted an article on Eurovision-2012 host country Azerbaijan by Dr. Irving Wolther.

The author spoke of construction boom not only in Azerbaijan`s capital, but also in the dynamically developing regions of the country. There is a great attention to development and reconstruction of non-oil sector, particularly tourism, transport infrastructure. Wolther writes that diversification of the economy in the Land of Fire is a logical policy.

Visiting historical city of Azerbaijan - Shamakhi the German author briefs the readers on construction works carried out here, pursued pilot projects, and underlines that the use of alternative and renewable energy sources has already started here.

Then, the author speaks about Ganja trip. Wolther shares his impressions of Nizami Mausoleum, Aluminium Plant, and stresses that the second tallest flagpole of the country is in Ganja.

The author also writes about the cultural events held in the centre of Ganja dedicated to the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. He underlines that the monuments are under protection here.
