Grandiose Olympic Stadium to appear in Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

New Olympic Sports Complex is planned to be constructed on the 17th kilometer of the Baku-Guba highway, in the territory of Absheron district, Chief Engineer of the ‘EL & EN’ project company Kamal Ibrahimov said.
 
Under the project, the complex will include hotel, stadium, and playgrounds for mini-football, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, parking, ancillary buildings and other facilities.
 
"An area of 5 ha was allocated for the construction of the Olympic Sports Complex, and total area of the facilities built here will be 15,900 square meters, outdoor sports areas – 7,401 square meters and greenery - 34,100 square meters, skate park will be 1,200 meters,” he said.
 
In addition, there will be laid ceramic tiles, lawns, as well as flower beds and ornamental shrubs and trees will be planted along the footpath.

"The architectural layout of the main building is designed in accordance with the technological requirements of the sports facilities and consists of several parts. The first floor of the main building will host the universal gym for 980 seats, a training room for the fighters, swimming pool, gym weightlifting, cafe, restaurant and ancillary areas.
 
The second floor will host a gym, boxing gym, chess club and other facilities intended for functional use of the building. There will also be built a shooting gallery and other facilities.”
