Azerbaijan may cut term of general power of attorney

The term of the general power of attorney for vehicles can be reduced in Azerbaijan, due to which it will be necessary to amend the Civil Code, the Parliament reported. The amendments to the legislation propose to limit the duration of the general power of attorney to one year.

The other powers of attorney (for driving) will remain permanent. The bill has already been submitted to the Parliament. Head of the Main Department of Traffic Police of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev said the changes do not affect the power of attorney giving the right to drive the vehicle.
