
The Republican Center of the Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (AMEA) has started installing new GPS stations.
According to the center, work on station installation is conducted within the framework of cooperation and exchange of experience between the centers of seismological services of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Currently Georgy Sokhadze, a fellow of the Seismological Service of Georgia, is visiting Baku for participation in the process of installation of GPS stations. The process was launched this year to improve ongoing seismological studies. The new stations will contribute to comprehensive research.
