Work underway to clean snow from Baku's roads

JSC Azeryolservis of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry uses all available reserves to ensure the normal movement of vehicles on the country's roads, Azeryolservis spokesman Punhan Mursaliyev told Trend on Wednesday.

"Last night the weather began to deteriorate, and we started the preparatory work," Mursaliyev said. He said due to snowfall and icing on the country's roads all available special equipment and workers are already involved.

"The technique operates on the road to the airport, on the Baku-Sumgayit highway. We are trying to work in all districts of the city," Mursaliyev said.

Heavy snowstorm began in Baku early Wednesday morning.
