Koroglu monument erected in Baku – PHOTOS

A monument to Azerbaijan’s national hero Koroglu was erected on the Liberty Avenue in the Nizami district of Baku. Nizami district Executive Power department head Nazim Guliyev said the monument was erected about 15 days ago.

The territory on which the monument was erected was beautified. The official opening of the park will be held in the coming days,” he said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on erecting a monument to Koroglu in baku on Dec.3, 2009.
