Turkey to present TURKSOY `s press awards

A presentation ceremony of TURKSOY`s- the Joint Administration of Turkic Arts and Culture (Türk Kültür ve Sanatları Ortak Yönetimi - TÜRKSOY) press awards and announcement of “The year of Mirza Fatali Akhundzade” will be held in the organization`s headquarters in Turkish capital on Thursday.

According to TURKSOY, Ministers of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and Turkey Abulfaz Garayev and Ertogrul Gunay will attend the ceremony. Department head of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Zaman Asgarli will deliver a lecture on life and creative activity of genius playwright in the conference and a documentary will be demonstrated to the effect.

The Azerbaijan State Television and Trend News Agency will be awarded in the ceremony.
Journalists will visit the Press and Information Office of the Turkish Cabinet of Ministers, as well as cities of Konya and Kayseri. The Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency – AzerTAc was rewarded with “Turksoy`s Press Award” by the TURKSOY Secretariat General for its wide-ranging coverage of news on the Turkic world`s culture last year.
