The Azerbaijani Parliament may prepare bills on some large cities, Parliamentary Culture Committee Chairman Nizami Jafarov told journalists. He said Baku, Nakhchivan, Ganja and Sheki may be included in the list.

"Bills may be prepared about these cities. These cities have social history as well as ethnographical structure. Existence of such laws for these cities is very important for their protection and for holding cultural events there," Jafarov said The Committee together with the Culture and Tourism Ministry prepares a special bill "On culture", which will be discussed in the Committee within the next days.

He told that the bill should indicate the importance of establishing the production institution.
Jafarov noted that production institution plays a very important role today in the world in managing culture and art. Jafarov informed that draft laws "On ashigs' art" and "On mugam" are under development.
