Nabucco project designed to diversify energy supplies to Europe will increase Turkey's role in the region and will turn the country into a bridge between energy producers and consumers, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz told journalists on Tuesday, the Sabah newspaper reported.
"Turkey will assist in safe transportation of energy resources from the Caspian region and Central Asia to the European market," Yildiz said. Yıldız also said that company BOTAS, which also has a share in the Nabucco project will have huge profits from gas transit to Europe.
