14 November 2011 [17:23] - TODAY.AZ
Iran's Parliament has adopted an amendment to the Passport Law toughening penalties imposed upon any Iranian national for visiting 'occupied Palestine' (Israel), IRNA reported on Monday.

Under the amendment, an Iranian visited Israel will receive from two to five years in prison and be deprived of passport for three-five years.

Article 24 of the Iranian Passport Law passed in 1972 lists countries where Iranians citizens can travel without limitations and countries where their travel is banned.

Under Article 36 of the Passport law, Iranians violated the law should be put under arrest for one-two years and pay fine.
