
Georgia's export group mainly includes cars. About $305 million fall to cars. The exports of cars amounted to 22 percent of total exports in January-August 2011, the Georgian Statistics Agency told Trend.
About $176 million fall to ferroalloy exports. Their share in total exports is 13 percent. About $ 99 million (7 percent of total exports) fall to scrap metal.
The import group mainly includes oil and oil products. About $564 million (13 percent of total imports) fall to these products. About $242 million (6 percent) fall to cars. About $159 million (4 percent) fall to petroleum gases and gaseous hydrocarbons.
Georgia's entire foreign trade turnover amounted to $5.687 million in January-August 2011 (excluding non-organized trade). It exceeds the figure by 39 percent for the same period of last year.
