Turkey's exports up 24.2% in July

Turkey's exports in July were up 24.2 percent when compared to the same month last year and were recorded as 11.8 billion USD.

Turkish Board of Statistics, TurkStat, announced foreign trade figures for July 2011 on Friday.

According to TurkStat, Turkey's imports in July were up 29.9 percent when compared to the same period last year and were recorded as 20.8 billion USD.

Turkey's foreign trade deficit went up 38.4 percent in July when compared to the same month last year and was recorded as 9.01 billion USD.

Turkey's exports in the first seven months of 2011 went up 20.5 percent when compared to the same term last year and were recorded as 77.4 billion USD.

Turkey's imports between January and July went up 41.3 percent when compared to the same period last year and were recorded as 140.5 billion USD.

Turkey's foreign trade deficit between January and July was recorded as 63.04 billion USD.
