OSCE Chairman-in-Office arrives in Tbilisi

Lithuanian Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Audronius Azubalis left Baku for Tbilisi on Tuesday night. Azubalis is on the visit to the region as the OSCE Chairman.

Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister Nikoloz Vashakidze met Azubalis at the airport.

Azubalis told journalists at the airport that Lithuania’s priority during OSCE chairmanship is to make progress in the settlement of the conflicts in the Caucasus, including in Georgia.

"I will hold many meetings and during them we will discuss a number of problems related to conflict resolution and democratization of the country," he said.

In turn, Vashakidze stressed that Lithuania is a friendly country for Georgia and Tbilisi hopes for assistance in resolving conflicts.

Today Azubalis will hold the first meeting with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze.
