Iran's President: Arrogant powers on decline

14 March 2011 [18:11] - TODAY.AZ
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has lashed out at those who claim to bring security to nations, saying bullying and arrogant powers are on the verge of collapse, Press TV reported.

"Look at the situation in the world. All those who claim to bring welfare, security and peace to nations are at an impasse and nearing their collapse," Ahmadinejad said in the inaugural ceremony of a development project in the country's southern island of Qeshm in the Persian Gulf on Monday.

He added that powers that seek colonialism, dominance over nations, establishment of military bases, bullying and looting and humiliation of nations have reached an impasse.

The Iranian chief executive emphasized that those powers that humiliated their own nations by relying on foreign forces and chose the path of egotism and arrogance are at the end of their existence.
