Armenian suicide victim's girlfriend commits suicide

On March 12, Kanaker-Zeytun police department was alerted that a body of a girl was found dead in an apartment on M. Avetisyan Street in Yerevan.

Armen Malkhasyan, employee of the Armenian police press service reported that an operational investigative group arrived at the site. The forensic examination revealed no sign of violence on the corpse.

According to preliminary information, the  overdosed from taking an excessive amount of medications.

Lia Hakobyan, 20, was a student of Yerevan State University, Faculty of Law.  She was a girlfriend of Mikael Vasilyan, 22, who committed a suicide on March 12, jumping from the Kievian Bridge in Yerevan.

An investigation is underway.
