Ankara says dialogue with Assad will yield no result

Dialogue with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will not yield results, Anadolu agency quotes Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as saying on Tuesday.

According to Davutoglu, as before Ankara continues to support idea of creating transitional council in Syria.

Earlier, the Syrian authorities agreed to cease fire in the country during Eid al-Adha. But despite this ceasefire was violated repeatedly, several explosions were committed, which killed civilians, including children.

Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for a year and half.

According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is nearing 30,000.

More than 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
