PKK militants attack military convoy in Turkey

The militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party have made two attacks in Saray, Turkish province of Van today, the agency Dogan reported today.

The terrorists detonated an explosive device while a freight train was moving. Then militants detonated the second explosive device, when the military convoy approached that place.

Four servicemen were injured in the second blast.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state has been on-going for more than 25 years. The PKK group is recognised as a terrorist organisation by the UN and the European Union.
