The number of tourists visiting Georgia has increased dramatically, the Iliauni Business Review and Forbs Georgia report.
Official data show that the number of tourists visiting Georgia in 2009-2011 has increased by about 100 percent, while the number of hotel beds has increased by 50 percent.
The average salary of hotel personnel has increased by 30-40 percent.
The so-called shopping tours also develop.
According to the study, the reason for increased number of visitors is a simplified visa regime with neighboring countries and with close partners. Entry of inexpensive airlines, which can ensure tourist transportation from Europe, into Georgia is also important.
The study took a month, and the August issue of the Forbs magazine will be dedicated to tourism development in Adjara.
