Iran’s economy lacks problems

26 January 2012 [16:33] - TODAY.AZ
ran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran's economy is stable and faces no difficulties, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

While visiting the south-eastern province of Kerman, President Ahmadinejad said that the Iranian people were ready for any pressure of their enemies.

The government must address the needs of workers in Iran's copper industry, and create high quality transportation and communication projects, the president said.

The inauguration of 5,000 apartments built in the Kerman Province, city of Rafsanjan is the first step of a total effort to make sure that Iranians don't face hardships when looking for housing.

The president's comments follow the newest round of sanctions imposed against Iran by the U.S and its Western allies this week. The sanctions are part of an effort to deter Iran from its nuclear activities.
