Azerbaijan calls on U.S. to preserve its neutral status

"Azerbaijan condemns financial aid rendered to the Nagorno-Karabakh by the United States. Azerbaijan calls on the United States to preserve its neutral status and not to assist the separatist regime," the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Public-Political Department Head Ali Hasanov said today.

He said that the U.S. is represented in the OSCE Minsk Group to solve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This country's assistance to separatist regime must be negatively accepted.

"Such assistance serves to strengthening of separatist regime. This step by the United States indirectly violates Azerbaijan's territorial integrity," Hasanov said.
