Latvia recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

The sides highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation between the states, stressing existing potential for expansion of ties in the economic sphere.

According to Riekstinsh, for this purpose a business forum Azerbaijan-Latvia to be attended by about 50 Latvian entrepreneurs engaged in spheres of information technologies, agricultural production, construction, transport and so on will be held in Baku on April 17.

As for the Eastern Partnership program, the Latvian diplomat called this initiative an important tool for closing interests of different countries to regional cooperation in different spheres.

Mamedyarov in turn stressed importance of expanding bilateral ties between the two states, informed his counterpart about the situation in Azerbaijan and the region. The Minister highly evaluated the position of the Latvian side, supporting fair position of Baku in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

The meeting participants will also discuss possible exchange of experience between the diplomats of the two states, intensification of interparliamentary ties and other issues of mutual concern.
