Relations of Azerbaijan and Ukraine are strategic partnership: Ukrainian President

During his speech at the meeting, the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, who is on an official visit to Baku, said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine "are the relations of the highest status".

"These are the relations of strategic partnership. The relations, which have high dynamics and political contacts, and the contacts at the level of ministries, departments. […] we are completely satisfied with the development of our relations," Victor Yushchenko said.

He noted that there are good results in the relations between the countries.

The President of Ukraine appreciated bilateral economic and business relations.

"It is very important that our relations, as we already said at the previous meetings, would have clear plan of their development," the President of Ukraine said.

He said that signing "road map" on development of the relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan for 2009-2010 will provide great clarity for relations not only within the Presidential Council, but also within the relations of territories, ministries, departments and business.
