Germany has strongly condemned North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launch, stating that the action poses a serious threat to regional security and international stability, AzerNEWS reports.

The statement was published by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social media platform X, where officials called on Pyongyang to immediately stop the development, testing, and distribution of ballistic missile technology in violation of multiple United Nations Security Council resolutions.

“We condemn today’s launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, which threatens security and stability in the region,” the ministry said in its statement.

The launch was previously reported by the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, which said that North Korea had fired a suspected ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan (known in Korea as the East Sea). South Korean and Japanese authorities began analyzing the details of the launch, including the missile’s type, flight distance, and possible purpose.

North Korea has conducted numerous missile tests in recent years, drawing international criticism and increasing tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang claims that its weapons programs are necessary for national defense, while neighboring countries and Western governments argue that they threaten regional peace and violate international agreements.

The latest launch comes amid continued concerns over military cooperation between North Korea and other countries, as well as growing efforts by South Korea, Japan, and their allies to strengthen security coordination in the Asia-Pacific region.
