One more opposition party joins Union for Democracy

He said the session admitted the Popular Party of Azerbaijan, chaired by Giyas Sadikhov, to the union. The party will be represented in the union by its former chairman Panah Huseyn.

"The parties represented in the Union further intend to expand. In particular, the session participants considered a package of proposals on cooperation of opposition. There are several aspects - we suggest joining efforts in the framework of creation of a wide coalition of opposition and cooperation on definite issues", noted he.

As for the issue, when the parties intend to hold their protest near the Iranian embassy to Azerbaijan, as a protest against violation of rights of Azerbaijanis, residing in this country, Oruc said:

"The parties have been waiting for the response of the government for another week. If a definite response is not given, we will hold protests to introduce our position to the diplomatic establishment", said Oruj.

It should be reminded that the Union of Democracy includes the Classical Front Party of Azerbaijan, Azadlyg party, National-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, as well as the Great Azerbaijan party.
