World Azerbaijanis Congress preparing statement against Mikhail Saakashvili

"We have planned meetings with the plenipotentiary representatives of the international organizations so that with their help to make Saakashvili observe the laws on protection of rights of national minorities, signed by him personally", said chairman of the Congress Medjlis Taghizade at a press conference in Baku Monday.

"Basic rights of our compatriots, residing in Borchali (the Kvemo-Jartli oblast in Georgia, where about 500,000 Azerbaijanis reside), are violated, including their land property and right for education in native language", added he.

Taghizade noted that the congress leaders will visit Georgia by the end of the year to meet with officials of this country to settle problems of Azerbaijanis.

"We are now preparing for the visit of the Congress leadership to Georgia, to be held by the end of this year", noted the congress representative.
