Government and Venice Commission experts negotiate in Baku

The Venice Commission experts and representatives of Azerbaijani government are negotiating over amendments to the Electoral Code and law on freedom of assembly.

The sources in the government told the APA that Mazahir Panahov, chief of Central Election Commission is participating in the negotiations.

The Venice Commission's delegation is led by Sergey Kuznetsov, representative of the Commission department of elections and referendums.

Safa Mirzoyev, chief of Parliament administration told the APA that Azerbaijan's Electoral Code is being debated at present.

Mirzoyev did not publicize the details of the meeting saying the debates will be over tomorrow.
