Foreign Minister meets US Assistant Secretary of Defense

Noting strategic importance of the South Caucasus region, Rodman said his country is keen in sustainable stability here, making accent on Azerbaijan's role.

Minister Mammadyarov stressed huge significance of cooperation in strengthening safety in region when several regional projects are being realized here.

Speaking of the leading role of Azerbaijan with its strong potential and opportunities in region, Minister Mammadyarov reminded the geographical-strategic projects the Republic has joined. Meanwhile, he pointed at the non-constructive position of Armenia, due to which, seriously damage was caused to the regional cooperation.

Peter Rodman welcomed participation of Azerbaijan's peacemakers in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo, stressing importance of continuation of the partnership ties between the two countries.

The parties had comprehensive exchange of views on numerous questions of mutual concern. AzerTAg
