Baku hosts Azerbaijan-EU talks

The third round of talks between Azerbaijan and the European Union on the Individual Cooperation Plan in the frames of the European New Neighborhood Policy will start on July 17 in Baku, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan reported.

A delegation comprising EU experts headed by deputy director general of the European Commission on foreign affairs Fokion Fotiadis will visit Baku to participate in the discussions of activity plan connected with Azerbaijan in the frame of New Neighborhood Policy.

Economic, infrastructure, political issues as well as security issues will be discussed during the negotiations. The delegation led by Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev will participate in the talks.

The talks were scheduled for May this year, but they were twice postponed. The second round of the negotiations took place in Brussels on March 7 of this year. The delegation composed of representatives from different state structures led by Mr. Mammadguliyev participated in the talks.
