Talks on Aliyev-Kocharian meeting to be held during OSCE MG co-chairs' visit to the region

Refusing to speak about the details of the meeting, OSCE MG Russian co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov told APA that the meeting was effective.

As coming to whether Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents meeting is planned, Mr.Merzlyakov said that the date and place of the meeting of the Presidents might be fixed during the co-chairs' upcoming visit to the region soon.

The co-chairs propose organizing the meeting of the heads of state within the Black Sea for Dialogue and Partnership Summit scheduled for June 4-6 this year in Romanian capital, Bucharest.

It was said before the meeting of Mammadyarov and Oskanyan in Strasbourg that the co-chairs together with their Foreign Ministries high ranking officials might pay a visit to the region depending on the results of the Ministers' meeting. So, the co-chairs preparing for the visit shows that the talks in Strasbourg had certain result.

MG co-chairs Yuri Merzlyakov, Steven Mann, Bernard Fasier together with deputy Russian Foreign Minister Grigori Karasin, US Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried and French Foreign Ministry director for political affairs Stanislas D'Labule will visit Baku and Yerevan.
