PACE rapporteur to visit Azerbaijan

British MP will be accompanied by secretariat of the mission. They will study the situation of cultural monuments in Azerbaijan, as well as in the territories under occupation by Armenians. PACE representatives will visit Armenia May 31.

As APA reports, Azerbaijan has applied to Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis to send mission for monitoring of cultural and historical monuments in the territories of Azerbaijan under occupation.

Armenians have raised an issue before international organizations claiming that Armenian monuments are destroyed in Nakhchivan. Azerbaijani position is that fact-finding mission should conduct monitoring in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
