The big screen isn’t the only way to see the newest work by Quentin Tarantino - the original script from his controversial Oscar-nominated film, Django Unchained, will be used verbatim in the six-part series published by Vertigo Comics.
Tarantino said that the comics would give him a chance to reverse the constant condensing he is forced into with his films, and will feature all the details that he had to cut (which otherwise would have resulted in a film close to four hours long).
The blood-soaked tale of a bounty-hunting dentist (played in the film by Christoph Waltz) and his partner, a recently freed slave (Jamie Foxx), in the post-Civil War South has won two Golden Globes and is nominated for five Academy awards including Best Picture and Best Screenplay.
