The Ataturk University in Erzurum (Turkey) hosted the 1st International Drawing Symposium attended by 20 artists from 9 countries. Azerbaijani artist Fikrat Hashimov also participated in the event. During 15 days the artists were shown round the town and attended a seminar on "The Meeting of Cultures".
Their works made in Erzurum were presented to an art gallery at the Ataturk University. The organizer of the symposium is a deputy rector of the Ataturk University, a Professor Sabahaddin Tuzemen thanked the artists from Azerbaijan, the Balkan countries and Europe and presented them keepsakes. He noted that the symposium would continue in the future.
