Azerbaijani opera singer to perform in Moscow

On April 2 in the Chamber Hall of the Moscow International House of Music, a solo concert of Azerbaijani opera singer Fidan Kasimova will be held.
After three years the opera diva again will introduce classical music lovers and admirers of her talent the works of Western, Russian and Azerbaijani composers, which would be a great spring musical gift to Moscow audience. The essence and dynamics of spring, the romantic tone of this season are very well reflected in the title of the concert: “Cantilena of spring”.

"The concert will feature masterpieces of world classics of exquisite Baroque times - to contemporary compositions. In the first part of the evening I will perform works by Falkoneri “Beautiful curls”, A. Scarlatti “Do not torment me”, G. Caccini “Amaryllis”, G. Handel “Amen Hallelujah and others”, said Fidan Kasimova.

The second branch will contain works of V. Bellini: "Recollection", "Ardent love", "Full Moon", "Melancholy". Then there will Neapolitan song of F.P. Tosti "Your mouth", "Venetian Night" of M. Glinka, "Dream" of S. Rachmaninov and others.

As final accord popular songs of the outstanding contemporary Azerbaijani composer Tofig Guliyev: "The Ring" and "Lovely image" will be performed.

National Artist of the USSR, Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan, laureate of the prestigious world-class competitions F. Kasimova will be accompanied by talented pianist Sergei Voronov. The musician also will perform works of leading figures from the popular classics: «Andante» of Mozart, "Impromptu" of W. Schubert, "Prelude" of Rachmaninov, as well as the "Box" of the young talented composer F.Ahund-Kasimov (son of F. Kasimova).
