The Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli under Azerbaijan National Acedemy of Sciencies published four manuscripts and an engraving about the ancient city Derbend in a book "Derbendnameler".
The book printed by "Nurlan" publishing house, reflects Derbend during the caliphate period having more than 5000-year history. One of the most interesting manuscripts of the edition is a work "Derbendname" copied by Mirza Jabrayil Derbendi in 1891.
"Derbendnameler" plays an important role in studying and highlighting the history of Azerbaijan.
The co-workers of the institute, Arif Ramazanov and Aynur Hajigadirli prepared the book for publication. The editor of the new edition is Candidate of Historical Sciences Tahira Hasanzadeh.
