Bill Clinton offers support to Tiger Woods

The former US president placed a phone call to the embattled professional golfer, who has been at the centre of a public infidelity scandal since last November.

"President Clinton spoke with Tiger and wished him well," said Matt McKenna, a spokesperson for the former president.

It is unknown as to when the former president spoke to Woods. Clinton, who has also faced similar media backlash for infidelity, reportedly offered words of encouragement.

Woods is currently completing therapy for sexual addiction at a rehab facility in Arizona.
