Taylor Swift has reportedly been advised by her mother Andrea to shelve her love life and concentrate on work.
According to Showbiz Spy, the singer has been told that stories about her rumoured relationships with Taylor Lautner, Cory Monteith and John Mayer could have a negative impact on her teen pop image.
A source close to the 20-year-old revealed: "Andrea has told Taylor in no uncertain terms that she must put her career ahead of dating boys.
"Andrea, who has a firm grip on her daughter's career and personal life, thinks Taylor has worked far too hard to let everything go to the wall for the sake of a boy."
The insider continued: "Taylor just wants someone to love; but she understands that her white-hot career is the most important thing right now."
