The Modern Arts Center in Baku hosted another beautiful exhibition by talented artist Sabina Abdullayeva on December 27.
The exhibition titled “Jacaranda” featured more than 20 unusual works, including 16 painted on glass, as well as five paintings and three works produced in the technique of collage.
Painting on glass is a favorite hobby for Sabina to which she has devoted all her leisure time.
Her elegant and refined paintings on glass, made in bright colors, excite and immerse the viewer into a magical world. Flowers, music, nature, and a variety of patterns and ornaments give her works an amazing aura.
Such paintings on glass as “Goldfish”, “May”, “Breaking down”, “Peacock”, “Aroma”, “Memories” and “Kiss” excite the imagination of their viewers. Sabina’s creativity gives you positive energy, filling the world with radiance, tenderness and charm.
Addressing the event, Siyavush Dadashev, a Professor of the Western University praised Sabina’s creativity.
“Her works reflect a deep love to the art. I wish her successes and hope she move forward creating new beautiful works,” he said.
Talking to Trend, Sabina said that she has been engaged in this art during the past three years.
The beginning of her creativity was spoiling furniture glass. Trying to paint the flaw, she realized that the work gives her great pleasure. “Glass is very fragile and capricious material. It should be constantly degreased,” she said.
Sabina said she spends about two-three days on her works. But, as she has two babies, works may go on with some delays for a month or more.
“Basically, I do a sketch on paper. But, sometimes I start to paint directly on glass. I'm not a professional artist, but when I take my works at hand -it is an incredible feeling. I have an inspiration and a desire to create paintings,” she noted.
Her works may become a pleasant gift for your dears.
