Silk Way Int'l music festival raises curtain in Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

 The 4th Silk Way international music festival, organized by the Azerbaijan Composers Union and the Sheki Executive Authorities, has started in Sheki district, Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Culture and Tourism supports the event.

The event, to run till July 4, sees performances of groups of national music, dance, folklore and theatre from Azerbaijan and abroad.

In accordance with the program of the festival, dance groups from CIS countries has given a concert in Summer Theater in Sheki.

Performances of Altinay State Dance Ensemble of Kazakhstan, Khoroshki State Academic Dance Ensemble of Belarus, Zebo State Academic Dance Ensemble of Tajikistan, Pandora Performers duo of Ukraine, Ak maral National Academic Dance Ensemble of Kyrgyzstan, Flueras National Song and Dance Ensemble of Moldova, and Ofrain Dance Theatre of Uzbekistan and Beryozka State Academic Dance Ensemble of Russia were met with the applause.

At the end of the concert, head of the Sheki Executive Authorities Elkhan Usubov and Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu noted that the 4th Silk Way International Music Festival was a remarkable event in cultural life of Azerbaijan.
