Solo, instrumental mugham contest to be held due in Baku

A contest of solo and instrumental mugham performance will be held as part of “The World of Mugham” 3rd International Music Festival in March.

The event will be organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijani Culture Friends Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Union of Azerbaijan Composers and Azerbaijani National Conservatory.

The contest will take place at Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall Muslim Magomayev, according to coordinator of the event, Zemfira Huseynova.

A seven-man jury panel will choose the best of the singers who will be given a 30 minute time space each for performance.
The winners will be awarded with diplomas and prize money.
