A consummate performer and entertainer with undoubted star quality, Emin Agalarov`s debut single “Baby Get Higher” in the US, has gone straight in at number 19 in the Billboard Hot Singles Chart.
After a week of successful media promotion the US have welcomed Emin with open arms. Emin Agalarov returns next month to promote the release of his album “After the Thunder”.
Emin, a star in both Azerbaijan and Russia, and a rising star in the UK, where his second international album `After The Thunder` was released in May, is well versed in performing to arena scale audiences.
Emin`s new UK single, "Baby Get Higher" has rocketed straight into the top 40 airplay chart, ahead of new releases from Rihanna and Coldplay. Charting for the first time at number 40, within a week of release, the single is proving a huge hit with UK radio, scoring over 18m impact ratings and is expected to climb further over the few weeks.
For his new 2012 album “After The Thunder”, Emin teamed back up with Brian Rawling and his `Wonder` songwriters, along with some new names and now having a greater hand in the writing himself, the new album is a mature, honest and confident pop record.
With strong support from Radio 2, Magic FM and BBC Local Radio, Emin also charmed TV audiences with performances for This Morning and Titchmarsh as well as a Channel 4 documentary. Additionally Emin made waves in the US when he donated his song `All I Need Tonight` to the David Lynch Foundation`s charity album `Download for Good` alongside tracks from Maroon 5, Peter Gabriel, Moby and more. As a result, Emin was balloted for Best Newcomer at the US Grammys.
