Plant producing more than 40 sorts of bread and bakery products to be built in Azerbaijan

The plant producing more than 40 sorts of bread and bakery products will be built for the first time in Azerbaijan.

The total value of the plant is 25 million manats. The foundation laying ceremony of “Saglam Qida” (“Healthy Food”) plant will be held in this year, in the first decade of August. The prices of bread, produced by plant, will vary between 0,3-2 AZN depending on the sort of bread.

“Sağlam Qida” plant will be built in Sumgait city. Construction works will be financed through loans provided by the Azerbaijan Republic National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support at the Ministry of Economic Development, Pashabank, KommertsBank, and through internal financial resources of Delta Group. The production process will be based on technologies of German company, Werner Pfleiderer, and will meet international standards. The construction works will be held by Turkish Meytek Company. Around 500 people expected to work at the plant. The daily production at the plant will be 124 tons per day. At the beginning of 2013, this number will be increased up to 200 tons per day. The first bread and bakery products will be in stocks in May, 2012.

Commenting on construction of a new plant, Aydin Mehdiyev, the founder of Delta Group said: “This plant is unique in Azerbaijan. The production process will meet all requirements of international quality standards. Bread and bakery products will meet HACCP hygienic quality standards. The main thing for us is to provide our customers with high quality bakery products by affordable prices”.
