Work is held for the sharp reduction in Internet tariffs in Azerbaijan, said deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Iltimas Mamedov.

He said last time the Internet tariffs were reduced early this year and talks are held for the further reduction. Mamedov noted that in this connection a meeting was held in the ministry with the internet providers.
"Yet tariff reduction should not affect the quality. Currently the tariff of 1 Mb of internet ranges between AZN 40 and 150".
There are 30 providers in the country.
