Azerbaijani top energy officials ‘to visit Turkey’

Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister has informed journalists.
Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and the president of the State Oil Company Rovnag Abdullayev were invited to Turkey, CNN Turk quotes Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz as saying. According to Mr. Yildiz, the visit will be paid next week.

Turkish minister said that the discussions on gas prices with Azerbaijani side was also satisfactory. ”I think we wont experience huge problems. We have not reached any agreement yet. Now we need at least one more meeting.” Mr. Yildiz said during the 15th International Energy and Environment Conference.

He informs that Turkey purchased around 36-37 billion cubic meters of gas in 2008 and that Azerbaijan’s share in the import made up only 5 billion cubic meters.
